FAQs

What is Hot Yoga?

There are many different kinds of hot yoga, at ECHY we use a program adapted from the Bikram style of yoga which consists of a sequence of 27 postures scientifically designed to work the entire body from the inside-out. The postures are basic and easily understood by a beginner but are always challenging—students can practice the sequence of postures for a lifetime and be continuously challenged by class.

What are the Benefits of Hot Yoga?

Hot yoga protects the muscles to allow for deeper stretching, improves flexibility, detoxifies the body and increases the heart rate for better cardiovascular workout. Regular practice (at least three times a week) may reduce the symptoms of diseases like arthritis, diabetes and thyroid disorders.  Hot yoga also promotes inner benefits such as stress reduction, deeper focus and relaxation.
